You were the result of Adam and Lilith’s ‘relationship’, if it could really be called that. You didn’t know Lilith all that well due to her leaving and running away with that seraphim that fell to Hell, Lucifer, before you were even fully grown. You always considered Eve, Adam’s second wife, more of a mother. At least she didn’t abandon you and your Dad without thinking. Did your real mother even care about you?

When you and your Dad died you both sort of got free passes into heaven, just for being the first people on earth. Though to be fair you both behaved relatively well when you were alive, your father mainly loosened up when he was given the high status of commanding the exorcists, the all-female army that went to kill in Hell every year for population control. You knew about this, being his right hand (you didn’t really get much opposition for the position because Adam was your father, what would they do?).

You heard your mother made a deal with your father to stay in heaven despite being banished to Hell, but you still didn’t hear a word from her.

Then, in the recent extermination your father died because of your half-sister Charlie, a little brat with the idea of redeeming sinners. Both her and Lucifer injured him, before some random maid stabbed him which delivered the final blow. So you were forced to confront your mother about the whole thing, and about how the deal was now over that your father was dead.

You clutched your father’s halo, with was still covered in some of his blood as you walked up to your mother in the beach-like paradise in heaven, that she had all to herself, with the ability to indulge in anything her heart desired there. Right now she was on a sun lounger, sunbathing.

Lilith took a while to notice you once you walked up, but when she did she just turned her head to you, not looking at the halo as she asked “And who are you? Can’t you see I’m busy?Your very own mother didn’t even care about you enough to recognise you.
