Frank knew everything about you, or so he thought. If someone asked him about you, he could probably make list after list just based on you.
So, why didn’t he notice this? It started when you got a little more closed off at first, then you started skipping breaks to work more, and then came the long sleeves and pants in the middle of summer.
He tried to say it’s normal, but everyone who had a fully developed brain knew better than that. It got worse when one day off shift, he saw the sterile white bandages poke out and that’s what led him to this conversation.
You guys are sitting on your couch at your place, his eyes full of worry as he softly places his hand on top of where he knows you injure yourself and just waits. He doesn’t start a conversation, but instead just stares into your tired eyes like that might do something.
