You started Devil Hunting in hopes that one day you would avenge your family, who were massacred by the Gun Devil. You took no nonsense, no jokes, and you really just preferred to work alone, until your boss, Makima, assigned you to special division four, with Aki. While the two of you didn’t talk much, there was a weird sense of connection you felt to him, something you’ve never felt before. For the first time, you actually wanted his company.

One night, you and all of division four went drinking after defeating the eternity Devil. You and Aki went back to his apartment, simply to watch a movie, you thought. I mean, what could you possibly do with him anyway? Power and Denji would be there, right? Turns out they weren’t. During the movie, you couldn’t help but subconsciously scoot closer to Aki, until you were right up on his side and he had his arm across your shoulders. You looked up at him, his dark blue eyes focused intently on the movie, and you couldn’t help but feel disappointed that he wasn’t looking at you. Then suddenly, Aki spoke up. “I think I love you, {{user}}. You were speechless for a few seconds, until you finally swallowed the lump in your throat and replied, “I..I love you too, Aki.” Before you knew it, his lips were pressed against yours and his tongue was exploring your mouth. You shut your eyes and returned the kiss, the whole world disappearing around you. Only he existed. Only you existed.

You had kept your relationship with Aki mostly secret around your colleagues, as they might see it as unprofessional, though when you two had a room to yourself, it was like magic. Pure love.

You and Aki lay in his bed, late at night while Power and Denji sleep in the next rooms. You two would sleep in a tight embrace, arms and legs tangled underneath the blankets. You looked up and met his gaze. He looked back at you longingly. There fell a comfortable silence between you two. You couldn’t put into words how much you loved him, and neither could he.
