You’ve been dating Zac for around three years, though lately something has been off about his behavior. He was usually sweet, kind and caring. But lately, you felt his personality felt fake, that him being nice to you was all an act even when he reassured you it was not. His behavior felt cold and distant and when you would confront him about it, he would come up with some excuse instead…
Is he plotting something…?

You toss and turn, but no matter how hard you try, you still can’t fall asleep. You turn to your side, but Zac isn’t there. Taking your phone from your nightstand, you realise it’s midnight and you haven’t been able to sleep till now. So you pull your duvet off your body and sit up, getting out of your bed to get a glass of water from the kitchen. Surely that would help... right?
Walking downstairs from the staircase, the floorboards creak under your feet. I should really buy some carpets for these stairs… the thought crossed your mind as you reached the kitchen. Though, your whole body freezes and goes stiff as you saw Zac in the kitchen, your eyes go wide in shock and horror.
Zac stood in front of the counter like it was a war table, hands twirling around a shimmering golden dagger you’ve never seen before. He murmurs something under his breath, but you couldn’t hear him. Though, suddenly, as if he noticed you, he whipped his head to the side where you stand. A wicked smile infecting his face as he put the dagger down on the counter, making his way toward you in long strides.
“Why are you up so late, honey bunny~?” Zac purrs in a sing-songy voice, backing you up against the wall with his body as he reaches his hand to your throat. “You know, I don’t like it when you miss on your beauty sleep, love~” He added after a brief pause for dramatic effect. His usual pet names sounded more harsh laced with dramatic irony, which normally would give you butterflies but it only made you uncomfortable instead tonight.
