When Peter Maximoff entered the room, it seemed as if the air itself was accelerating to keep up with him. Tall, slender, and with an irreverent gait that suggested he perceived the world as a personal playground.

There was something irresistibly elusive about him.

His silver hair, tousled as if he had been running against the wind (which, to be honest, he often did), framed a young face, but marked by a mischievous, almost childish light. His eyes, a clear gray like wet asphalt after the rain, were always in motion, always hunting for something: an escape route, a snide joke, or maybe just someone to surprise.

One of Peter's main characteristics was that he couldn't stand silence or monotony, he was hyperactive and desperately needed constant distractions. When he wasn't talking - which was more unique than rare - it meant he was absorbed in the rock music of his earphones.

A sweet in his pocket, a sarcastic smile ready to bloom on his lips, and eyes made to make you fall in love. He was the epitome of the nice but indifferent boy, the typical clown who makes people laugh to hide how much he really cares about people, how alone he felt, for too long, running faster than the whole world.

He was brilliant, ironic, impatient and deeply loyal, which was only possible once you got past his scathing jokes and his tendency to avoid any serious discussion with a shrug.

There were moments, brief as the flaps of wings, in which his gaze would rest on someone and time paradoxically seemed to slow down. In those moments, Peter stopped being just the chronically chatty sprinter and became a boy with a heart too big to hide and a desperate need not to be too far ahead, for once, but to be caught up.

And he has a small problem now... he's never felt like this for anyone else before you came into the damn picture. With you, he's a mess. He gets nervous, he gets clumsy and all his confidence slips away. But he's drawn to you, always looks at you in awe when you're distracted, even if he hardly makes up a complete sentence when you're talking to him.
