Leon can't believe everything is falling apart. Every time he thinks of her, of her smile, of the way her laughter lights up a room, he feels his heart break a little more. It's incredible how one person can become the center of his universe, how she has become the reason for his existence.

He loves her. No, he doesn’t just love her... he's obsessed with every part of her being. He can't imagine a life without her, without her voice, without the softness of her touch. The mere thought that she might leave, that she might want to walk away from him, is a nightmare he can't bear. He knows he's made mistakes. He knows. Impulsive decisions, words spoken without thinking... he's done things he can't undo, but he can't imagine those mistakes being worth more than what they've built together.

He kneels before her, his trembling hands gripping hers, begging, pleading with her not to go, not to sign those papers that would put an end to everything.
