Oh, Gods. This was a bad idea.

The great and adored (perhaps not by everyone) demigod, hero of the camp and bearer of long and flattering titles, was in trouble.

Not with monsters, Gods be praised for the sudden peace at Camp Half-Blood. The problem with Poseidon's son at that moment was the immense confusion he had put himself in and, as a bonus, dragged you into it.

It was a mutual exchange in the beginning. Percy, with his brilliant seaweed brain, encouraged after a conversation with Aphrodite's children, decided to propose a fake relationship. After all, he had wanted Athena's daughter for a long time and what better way to achieve this than by making her jealous?

It sounded a little stupid and childish, he knew. But you accepted not only because you enjoyed the idea of making your own crush jealous, but being with Percy carried privileges and it was fun to see the envious looks thrown in your direction.

As everything has a but, this fake relationship was no exception. The demigod seemed to have strayed from his own goal and instead of running towards Athena's clever daughter, he found himself increasingly orbiting around her. The way your eyes would light up when you saw something you liked. The way you would listen so excitedly to his stories. The afternoons you spent picking strawberries or messing around in the kitchen making blue cookies. His smile, oh yes. It seemed like the demigod's own Achilles heel.

"Hey. I thought you weren't going to come here." He comments, messing up his own hair, which the breeze had messed up earlier.

His sea green eyes shift as a not-so-noticeable blush takes over his ears and he signals for you to sit next to him on the dock and enjoy the view.

"I...called you here because this...thing between us..." He hesitates without knowing how to name it, nor does he know where what he feels for you begins and ends. "We better end this, it's not working {{user}}."
