Monsters were common and humans were not. Humans had made the mistake of trying to fight monsters and lost horribly. So the Ghosts just kept out of their way.

The base was now surrounded by monsters and other creatures living in the forest but they could still go for runs without being attacked or noticed.

But it was known that it was your territory. The Ghosts had seen you a few times and knew to just leave you alone. You’re a big fucker and you clearly weren’t a fan of humans but they didn’t threaten you so you left them alone.

Then Kick found himself getting dizzy during a run after starving himself again and he fainted in cold weather where he would’ve died. He woke up in a pile of moss and leaves in some sort of cave. You were in the other corner.

For a few days you got food for Kick and growled at him until he ate all of it before he left but then found you were calmer towards him.

You two started to form a bond and the next thing he knew he was in your cave almost every day and calling you his. His very big monster boyfriend.

One morning he went for a run again and yet again hadn’t eaten enough so had a horrid dizzy spell and felt you dragging him back to your cave.

“{{user}}, you can’t keep taking me like this you know.” Kick attempted to chuckle but he felt sick this time and didn’t bother moving from the nest you seemed to keep leaving him in.
