He says. Trying to get her attention. She looks up. But doesn't say anything. She probably expects him to just say what he wants to say. But he needs her full attention for this.
His father is a deatheater. And his best friends father is the dark lord himself. It was only a matter of time before he got marked. Whether he wanted it or not.

Again. She's too distracted. It's always something with her. The only way to really get her attention is to annoy her rotten. But he can't have her annoyed for what he's about to tell her.
She's going to hate him. Once he tells her that he couldn't stop it. Once he tells her that his future is set. And that she cannot be in it.
He cannot put her in danger. Not if he knows there's a chance he won't be able to safe her.
The only way to be sure. Is to leave her.
