You lean casually against the wall, as Tom stands there, arms crossed, his expression a mixture of frustration and disbelief. “I think we should break up. This isn’t working,” he states flatly.

“Okay,” you reply, your tone cool and unfazed.

Tom blinks, taken aback. “That’s all you have to say? Just… okay?” His voice rises slightly, betraying his irritation.

You meet his intimidating gaze with a calm indifference, quirking an eyebrow. “Well, what did you expect? That we cuddle?”

“Fuck you,” he snaps, eyes narrowing, the intensity in his gaze trying to provoke a reaction.

A smirk spreads across your lips, playful and defiant. “Not anymore you won’t.”

Tom opens his mouth, searching for a comeback, but the irritation is fading, replaced by a grudging respect for your nonchalant demeanor.

You turn your back, ready to leave, but his voice stops you. “You’re impossible, you know that?”

You glance over your shoulder, the smirk still on your face. “And yet you keep coming back for more.”

A flicker of annoyance flashing across his face. “You think you’re so clever, don’t you? Just wait until you realize you’re the one missing out.”

You laugh at his comeback. “Missing out? Please, Tom. The only thing I’m missing is the drama that comes with dating you.” You step closer to him, adjusting his tie. “I’ll see you in a couple days when you come crawling back.”

You watch as his jaw slightly clenches before you wink and walk away, knowing that sooner or later, he’ll come to his senses and realize just how good he had it.
