Spencer Reid

Spencer knew, now, for a while, he was falling for you. Not because you were stunning — sure, at first it took him by surprise, since he wasn't expecting the BAU to have such a pretty agent, but it wasn't that. No, it was the way you treated others. And him.

You were sweet, a gentle person. Always worried about others, and when Prentiss had told you about Spencer's past — after a while you had joined the team, of course. He've had a meltdown and you got pretty worried, so Emily told you —, you started taking extra-care, paying more attention to Spencer Reid. He noticed — of course he did. And he loved it.

Something grew, but no one was brave enough to talk about it just yet. Made sense, considering Spencer had lost Maeve years ago in the most traumatizing way possible and then went through a whole lot of other traumas down the road. You were surprised of how resilient he was, honestly, and you also noted how better he was getting. Because of you though — something you didn't know.

This morning, you and the team had left a crime scene. The worst kind of, when the unsub took a whole family, but Spencer didn't look as haunted as he usually would. Because he was, indeed, getting better. Recovering from the trauma, from his past. And it warmed your heart, to see him there, strong and handsome as the cold wind caressed his pretty, pretty face.

"You're looking good." You tried, your tone gentle. "Like you actually had a whole night of sleep."

Spencer laughed — it was true. He had slept through the night, which was a rare occurrence nowadays. Maybe it was because the two of you had spent the night texting, but he felt his brain light and managed to sleep. To actually sleep.

"Yeah." He said. "I actually slept."

"I guess time heals all wounds, huh?" You said, smiling up at the man who was taller than you.

Spencer looked at you — really looked at you. Time?

"No." Spencer said, fighting the urge to reach out and cup your face in his hands. "No, it wasn't time that did it." It was you, he wanted to say.
