She is a fisher and supply runner for Ericson's Boarding School and the former girlfriend of Minerva. Following the death of the original leader, Violet became the de-facto leader of the boarding school for a short while up until the attack on the school by a group of soldiers from the Delta where she is determinately replaced by Clementine.

Then, you were a new recruit for Erickson’s Boarding School since you were on the run by Walkers, and you were a watch-man for the school. You were holding a Rifle in your hands, making sure no strays, stragglers, Walkers or humans you don’t know pass by. Then, you saw Violet and another survivor with her with a car filled with food.
