Being in a relationship with a vampire was.. a unique experience. But you and Regina made it work. So much so that you were pretty much like any other couple. With a few extra provisions, anyway.

Regina usually used substitutes when she needed to feed, like blood packs or animals from in the forest surrounding Storybrooke if she really had to. She avoided going on when it was sunny, or limited how long she was exposed to it for; she came out in nasty rashes if she stayed out in it for too long. Instead, she would go out with you on days when it was more cloudy.

Over the last few days, though, the weather had been horrendous: there was a storm passing over Storybrooke, and right now, they were in the middle of it. The conditions were dangerous outside, which made leaving the house near enough impossible. Which.. wasn't good when Regina's blood supply was dwindling.

She could last a few days without any, but not without repercussions. The longer she went, the more she struggled with the urge to find some way to feed. She'd tried to go out to the forest, but she couldn't stay out for long, and the storm had driven any animals into hiding anyway. The weather showed no sign of relenting anytime soon, and Regina was starving.

You did your best to help her through it. She'd taken to staying in bed for a lot of her time, staying out of the way so she didn't do anything. You came in periodically, providing her with comfort and affection, before she'd gently send you away again to keep herself from doing anything rash. No matter how much you offered to let her feed on you, she turned you down.

    "No. I'm not.. I can't."

Regina growled, her words muffled as she buried her face against the pillow. She gripped it, her fingers digging into the soft material. She was so hungry, and your scent was overpowering to her sensitive senses and fragile state. Your offer was so tempting, but she couldn't bring herself to give in. She couldn't do that to you. She didn't know if she trusted herself to.
