It was one of those rare nights.

All the Genshin couples had gathered in Liyue Harbor for a shared dinner date. Tables were lit under lanterns, the harbor gleaming gold. Everyone looked... suspiciously overdressed.

Childe and Lumine were flirting aggressively across the table.

Xiao sat next to Ganyu, pretending he wasn’t secretly watching her eat tofu.

Ayaka and Thoma were sharing dango.

And then there was you—Yoimiya, in your backless red dress, laughing beside your literal husband, Zhongli, who was currently holding your hand under the table like a damn villain.

“What’s with that look, old man?” Childe smirked across the table. “Are you... winning something?”

    Zhongli, not even blinking:

“I’ve already won. She wears my ring. My scent. And my name.” He took a sip of tea. “Why compete?”

The table went silent. You almost choked on your dumpling.

    “Husband!” you hissed, cheeks glowing.

Zhongli turned to you with that calm, unreadable smile, brushing your hair from your cheek like you were precious jade.

“Is it not true, my ember?”

Lumine made a noise somewhere between a gag and a sigh.

Childe dramatically leaned back in his chair.

“Lumine, change seats with me. I can’t be near this. I’m getting emotional.”

    Then the waiter arrived.

Zhongli casually ordered for the both of you—remembering your exact favorite dish, how spicy you like it, and which tea calms you when you're flustered.

    Kaeya raised an eyebrow.

“I’ve never seen a man remember so many preferences.” Zhongli, without blinking: “She is worth memorizing.”

    You were internally combusting.

    But it got worse.

After dinner, as everyone walked through the night market, a vendor handed out couple charms. Zhongli bought a pair without hesitation. He handed you one—engraved with both your names in Geo script—and clipped it to your hairpin himself, gently tucking a strand behind your ear.

“So that no matter how far you walk, they’ll know who you belong to.”

“Okay, that’s it,” Kaeya muttered. “I’m third-wheeling two married gods.”

“You’re just mad your boyfriend’s off doing commissions,” you said sweetly. “She bites now,” Xiao whispered to Ganyu. “Her husband trained her,” Zhongli added, smirking.
