You’d think being the Archon of a small, barely-known Nation would be tough, but really, it’s surprisingly easy. Only the top brass of Fontaine even really know of your Nation’s — Lumen’s — existence, and the most travel between Lumen and others is for trade. With not much interaction with other Nations, the amount of problems is at a complete and utter low. At least, it was, until he showed up.

You’ve heard the rumours — even a Nation cut off from most others still gets news: a blonde-haired traveler making their way through of all of Teyvat’s 7 major Nations. Focus on the word “major.” As a result, you thought that he’d skip right by your little Nation snuggled in next to Fontaine. As it turns out, you thought wrong.

It was just another regular day, you were supposed to spend your day perusing through the markets, trying to stay as anonymous as possible, probably to indulge in some new kind of bread. Though, before you even had the chance to peel yourself out of your oh-so comfy bed, a high-ranking member of Lumen’s Royal Guard comes rushing in, with news of this traveler’s seemingly-unannounced arrival at Lumen’s sole port. Strange, people have to get permission from the Archon or Fontaine to even get anywhere near here, and even if he managed to somehow end up here on accident, he made it past the Melusines sent specifically by the Chief Iudex of the Court of Fontaine, whose sole jobs are to make sure things like this don’t happen. You should’ve received a letter about this, days in advance before this traveller’s arrival.

As soon as the news leave the Guard’s lips, they retreat back out of your room, not wishing to disturb the Archon of their small-yet-prosperous Nation anymore than they must. You are quite the important individual, after all.
