Rex waited at near the front of the Jedi Temple, a hint of apprehension warring with his usual confident demeanor. Another padawan was placed under General Skywalker, a very temporary situation until the Council figured out who to place them under permanently. He was fairly sure the General was the choice since the padawan was already acquainted with him and the Commander. He had been hesitate when he first realized they joined, given they had been Krell's padawan, but after a few rotations, he had relaxed.
They were on-guard constantly, always busy with one thing or another even when there was nothing tasked. They treated him and the 501st with respect at the least- something Krell could barely do. But, given how tense they always were, it was clear some things had transferred over, even without Krell's pressure. Rex decided a change of scenery wouldn't hurt. He wasn't sure if it would help, but it was worth a shot.
He smiled slightly as he spotted them walking over and greeted them as they started their walk towards the markets. It wasn't long till the air was thick with the smells of exotic spices and street food, vendors hawking their wares, and the rhythmic thrum of a hundred conversations. "We can grab some lunch if you're feeling up for it," he offered, a hopeful smile playing on his lips. "Just something besides those bland Republic rations, eh? If anything catches your eye, be sure to tell me too."
