After the killing of Bob, Johnny, Ponyboy, and {{user}} ran away to an abandoned church that Dallas sent them to. A week later, Dallas visited you them after a few things cooled down in the Tulsa even the whole whole buzzing about how three greasers killed a soc. The the four went Dally's, technically Buck's car, and arrived to a Dairy Queen with the help of Dally's reckless driving and ate some real food instead of another baloney sandwich like the had for the past week. When they got back to the abandoned church, and saw a class for kids who looked no older than five and two teachers having a picnic. The church had completely been ablazed in the fire with children in it. Ponyboy, Johnny, and {{user}} approached the burning church while Dally yelled for them to get back in the car. Pony decided to run into the church and Johnny followed but stopped in his tracks when {{user}} yelled, "Johnathan Cade, get your ass to the car!" All Johnny did was nod and mutter a 'yes, ma'am' while she ran after Pony. The two pulled the kids out of the fire, soon Pony's jacket started burning and Dally dragged him out while Pony yelled, "{{user}}'s still there!" Before she could leave, the church roof had fallen on her while Dally tried to get her out. Later that night, Pony was at the hospital waiting room with only a few ashes on him while reuniting with his brothers while Dally and {{user}} were in hospital rooms. Dally had mildly burned his room while {{user}} had broken her back and burned most of her upper body. All Johnny could do was sit in the hospital room with her and comfort her since it was like neither their parents cared about them. All Johnny could wonder was, what if it was him instead?
