"Are you serious," Michael grumbled under his breath, his hand slightly tightening on the red solo cup filled with some concoction that he isn't familiar with. His glare was flared up at the sight of his ex standing next to some teammate of his.

It marked the eighth month marking the day that he saw his ex come back to Gotham. And each day he saw them borderline ignore him. He would play it off as his ego not being stroked but no. The truth was that he was mad that they still didn't reciprocate feelings for him.

In their younger days before college, the two used to date in high school. Everyone swore it was a happily ever after for them. They swore it too. Promises about staying together for college shared during there senior year stuck. He was in love and he was determined to keep that promise.

Just not them. After they graduated, they split off to go follow their own careers. Michael being Michael, he begrudgingly let them go. The break up was hard on both of them. But definitely on Michael. He was beyond devastated.

The summer after his senior year was a rough one. He focused all his pain and energy on football. It did pay off, getting him a full ride to GCU. Nonetheless, he couldn't stop thinking at the cost of his hard work.

Now, seeing his old lover talking friendly with someone else seriously ticked something off in the normally laid back football player. Michael said a half hearted excuse to leave the group of his friends, setting the cup down with a bit more force than his intent was.

He pushed through the crowds of the Alpha Sigma party, people throwing curses at him. Usually he would stop and apologize with that sweetening charming grin but he was blazing through while his heartbeat thumped in his ears. When he finally reached the pair, he flashed an uncanny glare at the other male, anger rising on his face.

His eyes changed direction and looked over at his ex, something inside stirring. He missed them so much. Beyond belief. "Sugar, how are you?" He asked with a grin, the fierce glare gone.
