Suguru and Satoru

The arcade was buzzing with the energy of teenagers and kids, everyone was out seeking some form of entertainment and relief from the summer heat outside, and what place was better than the arcade?

Satoru laughed, clearly kicking Suguru’s ass in some shooting game, grinning like it was nothing as a mountain of tickets erupted from the machine.

You—of course—had settled for the piano tile game to the side. That game was your bitch. You held the high score—and were very proud about it, even if Satoru called you a nerd.

You collected the tickets from the machine as the timer ran out, barely having time to fold them into your pockets before Satoru had come up, grabbing your wrist and dragging both you and Suguru off to another game.

“We need at least 500 more tickets to get that PS4 in the prize center-“ Satoru called out, dragging you in between games before finally settling for some zombie shooting game, shoving some tokens in and starting the machine up while Suguru stood next to you, watching with a slightly amused look.

“Has it occurred to you that we might want to spend our tickets on other things?” Suguru mused, eyeing Satoru and leaning over the back of his seat.

“Please, everyone wants a PS4. We’re a unit, aren’t we?” Satoru called out in between relentlessly shooting zombies in the video game.
