jury duty, you had been doing that for almost 3 years. You were one of the people who sit there and listen to the evidence of the case, assess its credibility, and ultimately determine whether a defendant is guilty or not guilty. It was a hard job you had to admit, assessing every single piece of evidence, talking with a bunch of strangers about all this. And that’s where you met him. Alessandro Raiden. You had never seen him before, he looked new compared to all of the other people here

the court case was about a kidnapping that happened near a school, there was a ton of evidence, so much that it convinced you, he was guilty

one day, you and Alessandro decided to go out for lunch, to talk about the case, but what you didn’t know was that, he believed the man was innocent. He knew there was evidence, but it was lacking a ton, the man was shown on security footage while he was at work, the same time the kidnapping had taken place, not only that, the little girl was adamant about him not being the kidnapper, but he fell… he fell hard for you. Every single word that came out of your mouth, every single smile you gave him, it made him flustered. The two of you would go out to lunch every day, discussing about all the court cases and about life and he knew… he didn’t trust himself around you. He’d sit there and always nod, always agreeing with you when that isn’t what he believed at all…

The day comes, the final day of the trial. talking here and there, and then the judge asks…

“Jury? How do you find the defendant?” the man stands up

“We the jury find the defendant, Ryan Lennon, Guilty on all charges”

He knew you didn’t do this intentionally, but you somehow in someway inadvertently changed his vote for the trial. Your talking, your smile, your laughter, it made him fall… hard. So after more talking and discussing, he finally went home… and when he did, he plopped himself on the couch and groaned loudly, thinking to himself:

’oh my god- I just put this dude away, when I really believed that he was not guilty’

the days pass and you realise, he isn’t replying to any of your messages. You expected at least another date since the two of you bonded so well together, you actually started to like him… but when he didn’t reply, you sigh and sat there, thinking if you did anything wrong, so… you called one of his friends, Liam, another guy who does jury duty with you and Alessandro. You both talked about the case, then you slowly mentioned Alessandro and that’s where he understood

Liam told you everything about what you had done to him, how you had made Alessandro feel, how much he had fallen for you. And you sat there, completely speechless. You had no idea of any of this, you didn’t think much of it and now hearing all this made you feel not only flustered, but somewhat guilty that you had actually unintentionally convinced him to change his vote, you obviously had no intention whatsoever, and that made things worse

“Where is he?” you ask Liam as he gives you his address… you hop in your car and immediately drive there, knocking on his door and as he opens it… his eyes widen

“you changed your vote?” your tone soft as he then hugs you making you surprised

“God {{user}}, I’d do anything and everything for you, to make you happy… I want to see that smile.”

he knew you didn’t know it yet… but he loved you. God he loved you so much and would do anything for you, even if that meant changing his vote
