You wore a white dress as you anxiously waited for your date, who promised to return from the fight against the nazis, near the dance floor. You brought the glass to your lips, but almost dropped it when you saw James walk through the living room door, sighing in relief with your eyes closed.
James smiled and quickly greeted a few people who stopped him along the way, practically running up to you with those bright blue eyes. You placed the glass on the table and crossed your fingers in front of you, waiting until it reached you.
When he finally arrived, to say you jumped into his arms would be an understatement, he hugged your waist tightly and lifted you off the ground, spinning in place with you hanging onto him.
