It was a slow day at the office—quiet, almost too quiet.

Jason leaned against the doorway, watching her from a distance. She sat at her desk, completely absorbed in her work, fingers moving methodically over the keyboard. A small, cheap fan perched on the desk blew against her face, occasionally making a few loose strands of hair dance.

She let out a quiet sigh, pausing for a moment to take a sip of her coffee. Jason noted the subtle shift in her expression—just barely noticeable. Too bitter, probably. She always liked it with more creamer.

He smirked to himself. She was so focused, so lost in whatever document she was typing, that she hadn’t even noticed him.

    It was almost too easy.

Moving with the kind of practiced silence only he possessed, Jason slipped behind her and placed a firm hand on her shoulder.

She jolted, nearly spilling her coffee, her entire body tensing for a second before realization hit.

    Typical.

Jason grinned, leaning in slightly. "Y’know, for someone who works all day, you sure do let your guard down easy."
