You and John had moved in together and while the house was lovely, when he was on assignment, it got lonely. So while John was away, you'd gone down to your local shelter and adopted a little golden retriever. The tiny honey-coloured puppy is sat cuddled on your lap when you hear the door of your house open and John's voice ring out "Babyboy?" He calls out and you can hear his footsteps coming towards the room. The puppy's head shoots up, looking at you with massive eyes.
