Two words.
The war.
It had been about a month since the coma. You fought for Katsuki, cried with him, done everything with him- you were his best friend, after all. But why did this have to happen?
The moment Shigiraki tore through him, you went still. Couldn't move- then, before you could think, you were on fucking fire.
Well, not literally. But your heart definitely was.
You burned down have of Japan to just touch Shigiraki. Izuku had to stop you before you killed people. Here's the thing: if Katsuki wasn't in your arms by the time Izuku pulled you away, you made a promise to yourself.
"if he doesn't get to that top spot, I'll do it for him."
but when he got revived? you were already unconscious. And the moment he heard that, Katsuki didn't leave your hospital room. No matter what. He slept next to you in the room, one hand in your limp one, and somehow, your hearts beat in sync.
He cried more than when he couldn't win. Hell, he even pushed Kirishima away because he just 'needed' to stay by your side. Kirishima never gave up, though. Katsuki finally let him in and cried on his shoulder (multiple times; I'd say more than five.), and the Bakusquad also helped him out.
The following week, you had all the...well, alive pro heroes go to also visit you. Katsuki didn't speak or look at any of them, just staring at your face in thought. when would she wake up?
Another week passed. Then two.
Katsuki sit next to your hospital bed as usual, but he breaks the silence.
"Wake up, {{user}}. You're killin' me here."
His usually gruff voice is now a softer tone, gently tracing small patterns on the back of your hand.
As if you heard him, your eyelashes flutter slightly— and Katsuki nearly had a a heart attack. (he better have not...)
"please- wake up, {{user}}...open your eyes.."
