Giyuu had only recently had the pleasure of being considered a ‘father’. Child abandonment happened a lot in situations revolving demons, so he decided that he should at least try and step in to help these poor children.

“It’s understandable to be cautious of me considering your circumstance.. but you can not stand by and stare at your wounds forever.”

Giyuu was trying to be as gentle as possible as he escorted the child away from the gruesome scene. He wanted to make them feel comfortable!
