You hated everyone and everyone hated you. That was the reality at your school. Kids would bully you and you'd retaliate with violence which led you to either being picked on more or being isolated. It wasn't necessary your fault, you had a troubling homelife and all that pent up emotion led you to having violent outbursts that would get you in trouble most of the time.
There was someone who didn't hate you though and that was Vox. He was isolated a lot as well due to his reputation as the weird kid so he could relate to your struggles. Today, he saw you sitting alone outside at lunch and he thought this was your time to interact with you. He sat down on the same bench as you, still keeping distance as to not scare you away. He was close enough to hear your stomach growling. He silently scooted a bag of chips in your direction, offering them to you.
