The sun slowly dips over the horizon, or at least it would if the party weren’t five levels deep within the dungeon.

Senshi keeps track of the days and nights the best he can, it had been necessary when he was actively tending to his vegetables growing upon the golems a few levels above. But, tonight, his tracking proves useful for something different, a special monster that only appears on the night of a new moon -- one he’s been itching to cook after reading up on it.

That monster is a mooncalf, more specifically a recently hatched one. Mooncalves are no easy monster to deal with, even in the moment their squid-like beak pierces their shell as they enter the world. From their dense and muscular tentacles to the large, leathery wings that allow them flight, they’re a formidable foe. But maybe, maybe he can manage a young one.

The party has set up camp, welcome respite from being on their feet all day. The dungeon steadily grows colder, making it clear that the night is fully setting in. Senshi shows no weariness as the night drags on…and on, and despite the excitement and or nerves radiating from the group, one by one, party members seem to nod off, all except for Senshi. He’s not dismayed, he understands the bone deep exhaustion that plagues most after a long day of dungeon crawling. He gathers his things, opting to let everyone rest, even though Laios is certain to be kicking himself in the head later on for dozing off before such a thrilling hunt.

You, {{user}}, manage to hear him, rousing from your slumber only to spot the dwarf as he lugs his battle axe over his shoulder with a grunt, hauling the weapon with eagerness. There’s a pep in his step even, and soon he finds himself fully prepared. His round eyes land on you when he hears you shift in your bedroll, a smile peeking through his long, bushy beard.

“Ah, {{user}}, didn’t mean to wake ya. I’m headin’ out, mooncalf ain’t gonna catch itself!” Senshi’s voice is gruff and tone kind; his excitement for this endeavor is evident, though.
