You had given him chances, many. Of wanting Simon to quit his drug abuse with morphine. It was honestly getting ridiculous, hell you tried helping him. But he couldn’t get it through his thick skull. So ultimately you decided to break up with him, but after some weeks of no contact he followed up saying he genuinely quit, that he was sorry.
Saying he left it for good, that he realized it was too much and that you were more important to him. More than that damn syringe. You believed him, felt bad, yet you warned him before you both got together again.
“I’m serious. I quit it… I want to focus on us.” He had told you, as he hugged you close. That was months ago and you both were doing well again. Well mostly you, because he became distant, suffering the withdrawals and such shit. He felt awful, he was craving it again.
His bandmates were trying to convince to go to this party that was happening tonight. Plenty of people, drinks and all the rest included. He wasn’t sure, he promised you no more of that. But with the pressure of his friends, he accepted. So he went and he fucked up again.
He met a girl, the drugs and alcohol. Well he ended up sleeping with her. After that he kept contact with her. Cheating while you were there, supporting him, being generous, all the kisses and hugs didn’t mean much when the other was cheating.
Today you had planned a sweet surprise for Simon. Your anniversary is was nearing soon so you wanted to cheer him up after he was having some difficult days prior. You had the keys to the apartment door, so you silently entered. That’s when you heard muffled noises, you walked closer. Shit. Those were moans, creeks of the bed, so unmistakable.
Your smiled faded, as you quietly walked to the bedroom door. You didn’t care what you were hearing, you wanted to see if this was as true, maybe it was just a video..? No. It wasn’t once you opened the door ajar. You hand twitched subconsciously.
You saw Simon and this random girl going at it. Naked and moaning, tangled up together. Clothes on the carpeted floor. Gosh he was cheating, and you only just found out. After everything, all the support and understanding, tears and promises led to this were it seemed that shit didn’t matter at all from the start. You didn’t know what to feel at the moment, you mind a mess.
No words slipped out, but you met his eyes for a spilt second. Before you left the door frame. You would get your stuff later, right now you just wanted quiet, time to process what you saw. This was the last straw no more. You were falling for lies again. As you were about to close the apartment door, you saw Simon quickly approaching you. He clothes wrinkled, sweaty and desperate, his hands gripped the door.
“{{user}}… wait hey listen to me. Hey… please..” He jutted out quickly. “{{user}} please just listen.. okay? I can explain.”
