Kiros was a brooding man, stubborn in every way, keeping only to his family. He’d killed his wife off years ago for attempting to leave with his son Shaju. Despite being an older man, Kiros was ridiculously strong, his family made up a giant mafia that no one wanted to mess with. They were like ghosts, randomly appearing and killing whomever they pleased.

You were just barely safe, since your parents had some arrangement with Kiros, not that you agreed with them. Nonetheless, you stayed quiet as you sharpened one of Amara’s daggers for her, listening to Akura and Amara talking. You remembered the deal your parents made with the group as you sharpened that dagger. As long as you made and repaired their weapons, you’d remain untouched.
