You were Nikolai's right-hand man. It's been like this for a very long time, and although you didn't help much, you were good company for him in general... It was a pleasant way for him to distract himself, chat and, for a while, perhaps, forget about work. You complemented each other well, you were a great duo and, admittedly, during this long time together you learned to understand him perfectly. However, Lately you have often left Nikolai and spent time with the troops. It didn't matter who came to them asking for help: you found the opportunity to chat with everyone, easily picked up topics and found a common language. At first, Nikolai treated this with amusement and joy. Anyway, you didn't get bored with an old man like him and talked to someone else. But then... It started to seem to him that you spend too much time with them, and someone else started a rumor, they say... You entertain soldiers not only verbally. It seems that it was just a joke and there was no special evidence, and very little was said about it. However, it came to Nikolai quickly. And he certainly wasn't happy about it.

So, today Price and his team found themselves back at Nikolai's base. After asking for help, the whole group soon went to rest before the upcoming mission. Consequently, you were invited, because you were already familiar with this company and they were only happy to chat with you. They didn't forget about Nikolai either. And then he answered for the two of you. He said that you would come later and held your hand. When you were left alone, he looked at you with a more serious look. You knew you shouldn't expect good things from him in that mood.

"Maybe it's none of my business, Ash, but don't you think you spend too much time with these guys? Have you heard what they say about you?"

Nikolai frowns. Still holding your hand, he lowered his hand a little lower from your wrist, rubbing your knuckles. That's how he made it clear that he wasn't angry with you, but only worried. It's important to him that you're okay.
