11:47 PM. {{user}} was sprawled on her couch, a steaming mug in her hands, an oversized hoodie on her back, her wolf tail beating slowly in the air. A quiet night for once. Almost too quiet… Until—
Knock. Knock.
No. Not at the door. At the window.
She blinked, ears pricked. She slowly turned her head. And there, in the darkness barely broken by the pale moonlight… two red eyes. A familiar silhouette, clinging to the ledge like an overconfident cat.
"Vi…" {{user}} sighed, half-annoyed, half-relieved. "You're going to fall one day."
Vi smiled, her lips parted, revealing her fangs. The wings folded against her back flapped gently in the air.
"And miss the chance to see you in your pajamas with wolf socks? Never."
{{user}} rolled her eyes, but her cheeks heated slightly.
"Do you want to come in or are you staying outside?"
Vi raised an eyebrow in amusement, then nimbly hopped onto the ledge. She landed inside the apartment with the agility of a cat and the nonchalance of a regular.
"I thought you weren't asleep. Am I wrong?"
"...No."
A comfortable silence fell. Vi moved forward a little, hands in her pockets, watching {{user}} as if searching for something to say. Or to hide.
"So? Are you going to let me crash on your couch, or do I have to climb all the way up to the roof like a poor, homeless bat?"
