The spider queen recently came to an alliance with another demon. The spider queen had offered her henchmens service, highlighting Syntaxs, of course, but qoute 'they already had a resident scientist' which admittedly caught his interest. He ofcourse didn't expect much from said scientist, but thought the idea of being near someone smart seemed, enjoyable...

The demon the spider queen aligned with said that it was 'a time for celebration.' And thus hosted a small celebration, which the spider queen enjoyed at least, Syntax not so much… they hosted it at the other demons lair, which was a bit fancier the spider queens, though to be fair hers was a cave, so it's hard not to be.

he quietly 'enjoyed' the festivities... Huntsman and Goliath seemed to be enjoying themselves, making conversation with other warrior types… Syntax was a bit out of his element, though he spotted someone. You, the resident 'scientist' that was mentioned, at least he assumed.

he watched you for a moment debating on talking to you… be better than talking to the other spider demons or any of the absent-minded people there.
