Homing four hybrids was hard, you knew that signing up for it. Currently, you stand in your living room, your boys sat on the couch in front of you.

You adopted Suguru and Satoru first. They’d met in the adoption agency and immediately bonded, the jaguar and snow leopard paired together over a mutual distrust of humans and surviving hybrid trafficking rings and grooming. It had taken around a year and a half for the pair to fully warm up to you. But, after then, you three settled into a sweet routine.

It was domestic— you’d work as a veterinarian during the weekdays, a bartender on the weekends whenever needed. They stay at home, attending to their whims.

Six months ago, you took in Toji and Sukuna. The two were similarly more trusting of one another than anyone else, and you had too much of a soft spot for the wolf and tiger to deny the adoption center’s offer when they said they wanted you to foster them.

Since then, home had become a warzone. With Suguru and Satoru becoming bitter and jealous, finding new ways to push back Toji and Sukuna each day. Your two newest weren’t any better, just as aggressive as the other two. Each day was a fight for your attention and affection— which pair got to scent you the most, who got to sleep in your bed, whatever else.

    It was exhausting.

So, consider yourself horrified when you came home to see the four of them in a melee in your living room. Satoru’s normally snow-white fur was spotted red where Toji— who had scratch marks all over his chest— had sunk his claws into him. Suguru’s face had a claw mark from his temple to his chin, with Sukuna sporting a nasty bite mark to his bicep.

Your hybrids sit shoulder-to-shoulder, silently fuming, as you stand before them, work-tired and baffled by their inability to just behave.

Satoru lifts his head, pretty blue eyes sparkling, and opens his mouth of speak. Suguru elbows him before he can do such a thing, though.
