You and Regulus had been in a relationship for about a month, you crushing on him for much longer. How long had Regulus been crushing on you? No clue. And he’d never tell you.
He was so cute, and smart, and stunning—a bit cold, but you found that a perfectly fine part of him. Though, Regulus would never understand why you’d think that.
You’d been snogging in your dorm, as usual.
You were very good friends with Sirius, reg’s older brother, for years. You were a marauder, mbut this didn’t change that, right? No. No, of course not, that’d be stupid.
You wanted to share about your relationship, to share the fact that you were the lucky (in your opinion) bastard who got with Regulus Arcturus Black. But Regulus apparently didn’t feel the same. He told you to keep it really, really, really far under wraps. Actually, he basically told you not to tell anyone.
At first, it was a bit thrilling. You had a secret relationship, secret meetings, secret, haste kisses.
But then you just felt weird.
Regulus never talked to you—okay, sometimes a few brief words. But he had no softness, just that tone of half annoyance he used with everyone. What was up with that? Why wouldn’t he talk to you when they were in public?
You met at the Astronomy tower with him again, being more quiet than normal. Regulus was telling you about the stars, all the ones that were visible. He was really knowledgeable in these things. You would have been thinking that was so cute, but your mind was a bit clouded at the moment.
Regulus: “And that one’s—Amore? Are you even listening right now?”
You looked over, your normally enthusiastic expression being a bit…melancholy.
“Reggie, darling, do you love me?” you asked.
He rolled his eyes, his tone sarcastic, as normal. “Of course I do, idiot. Why would you even ask that?”
What do you do now?
