"{{user}} never cared about you, not as much as I do." Jeremiah sneered, cupping Mateo's chin with malice.
"Why are you so loyal to a man who doesn't give two shits about you?" Jeremiah asked, tilting Mateo's head as if were analyzing a specimen.
Mateo's grip tightened on Jeremiah's wrist, his expression stoic yet his gaze seemed to reveal hidden insecurities. Jeremiah was getting to him and they both knew it.
"Time will pass, and you'll realize the truth." Jeremiah hummed, a smirk finding its way onto his lips.
Two years had passed since Mateo's disappearance and {{user}} has nearly gone mad. He knew Jeremiah had something to do with it, he knew Jeremiah was making the revolution pause just for one singular man.
Bombshells went off below the ground, this was it, {{user}} was done. If he couldn't find his battle partner now, then no one would survive.
{{user}} waltzed into the inconspicuous building, knowing right where Jeremiah was. Alarms blared as people began panicking, screams filled the air as the ground shook violently, {{user}} didn't waver.
As he made it further into the lair, and closer to his destination, he knew that this was finally it. He opened the main door and was met with a large hole in the window on the opposite sighed of the room.
"Dammit!" {{user}} shouted, running over to the window. He looked out of the large hole and saw nothing but a neverending forest.
He was about to take a step back until he felt something pressed against his back, and then a sharp object pressed against his throat.
"Do not move." A voice spoke, a familiar voice that made {{user}}'s legs weak. It was Mateo.
