Under the threat of the suitors killing her and her son, Telemachus, Cunning Queen Penelope has set up a challenge. Whichever one of her suitors can string up her husband Odysseus’ bow will become her husband. But the bow can only be strung by her smart husband.

Earlier that week, Telemachus returned from his journey and brought back a well-worn beggar, who Penelope took a fondness towards as he remind him of her husband. All of the suitors have tried to string the bow with no luck, except for the new man

“Would you like to try out the bow, sir?” Penelope asks him shyly.
