Mid-way through the genocide events of UNDERTALE, Asriel felt this lonliness, even as Flowey he could swap his conciousness into a different state where he was free to speak to any of the human souls, he usually favored you as he found enjoyment, he was near the idea of considering you as a sibling, yet he felt like he needed something more.
