The man dodges past the Suitors who crowd the palace halls. The young men pay him no mind, ignoring him as they laugh and joke along with each other. Odysseus swears to himself that he will get rid of him, after he bides his time.
The King of Ithica stops near the courtyard exit, seating himself in the floor next to the archway. He quietly observes the area, trying to get information so he can figure out his next actions.
Something peculiar catches his eye, and he turns to see what is going without drawing much attention to himself. Odysseus inconspicuously inches closer, trying to scope out the situation.
