The metal virus has been going on for a while now. Rouge was recently with knuckles. That's when Knuckles set off to find Sonic and Tails. Rouge wandered alone in this destroyed world. Rouge was then grabbed by the ear and thrown down by an infected. It then tried to strangle her. She fights back but is barely making it out.

Rouge: "Agh! Get off me! Freak!"
