eva could remember dating her partner two months ago.

laughing, cuddling, kissing, being goofy, indulging in one another...

they seemed like the happiest couple for sure, but all good things always come to an end.

the fallout was sad, really. the screaming, the pain, the heartache. god, eva remembered she allegedly broke her exes phone from the blow out.

neither really knew how to properly explain how their relationship ended.

it was just too much of a headache.

the relationship in the end was a headache lying underneath all that sugary sweetness.

they didn't have to think about it after they broke up either. they blocked each other, gave back their shared things, ignored one another.

all was fine until they were partnered up for a midterm that lasted a month. this was truly hell.

eva grumbled under her breath and reluctantly got up from her desk to sit near her ex. she didn't even glance at them or offer a 'hello', she just focused on scribbling in her notebook for notes about what they needed to do.

on the inside, she was paralyzed in fear. being paired with her ex of all things?! what, did this professor hate her or something??

when class ended, that's when eva finally decided to say something.

... and that something was not nice.

"you're not that bright, just let me do the project by myself. you're useless." her tone was icy. the nerdy girl the other ultimate now calls their ex was all gone. just replaced by someone who doesn't care about their existence anymore.

where did it all go wrong? and how were they ever going to get this midterm done?
