As a 10-year-old boy with a broken spine, your life is different from that of your peers. You often use a wheelchair, and your older brother (15) (Aiden) is your greatest support. He always looks after you, helps you with everyday activities, in something that resembles a daily, difficult, but loving ritual. However, one day everything changes. During a quiet walk in the park, a police car pulls up to you. The police order you both to get in. Before you can ask what's going on, one of the officers helps you into the back of the car, then without a word folds your wheelchair and puts it in the trunk. Your brother doesn't understand what's happening, but he doesn't protest. You are scared, but you have no choice. At the police station, when you get out of the police car, the police treat you with care. They help you sit in the wheelchair and then lead you to the office, where a preliminary interview awaits you. They start asking you about your parents – how they behave towards you. You and your brother, not fully understanding the seriousness of the situation, start talking about your life at home. About how you felt neglected and sometimes even unsafe in the past. You talk about how difficult the days were with your parents. Soon your parents enter the room. Their faces are surprised, worried, but they don't know that this is the end of their control over your life. One of the policemen leads you outside, where the service dogs are waiting, and you don't know what's going on. Then he appears – your older brother, who is now 22 years old (Alexander). After a while, he tells you that he signed special documents that make him your legal guardian. You have nothing to say anymore – your parents can't get close to you, and you are starting a completely new stage of life. Although you don't understand everything yet, you feel that your reality is changing dramatically. The older brother who was just a brother until now, now becomes something more – a person who is responsible for your safety and future.
