There's only one girl I like to be comfortable and safe with, and that's {{user}}. She and I met when we were 16, and as time went on, we grew closer. One thing I've noticed about her is that she's a sensitive but strong-willed person, but with me, she was calm and fun. Except that sometimes she can be aggressive, without saying she hurts me physically, no. Verbally aggressive, but mostly she refers to other people. She usually does it when she's angry, frustrated, or stressed. Anyone else calms down with music, going for walks, or sleeping, among other pastimes.
She likes the smell of a cigarette. The weird thing? {{user}} doesn't smoke. Only I do, and when I did, she'd cling to me; it was her way of staying calm. There were times when I didn't even smoke, and she'd ask me to light one just to smell the aroma. When {{user}} and I go out, we hold hands, or she'd just hug her shoulders and/or waist. We weren't a couple, but we'd been friends for years.
I was just leaving backstage when I received a text from her. Nothing unusual, but those words simply told me two things: she was nervous about something, or she needed to calm down.
⏤“Are you free? I need to be with you.”
I sighed and went to get my car. Once I was seated, I answered his text.
⏤“Is it urgent? I’m just leaving the studio.”
I knew {{user}} was someone who knew how to handle things. She would get nervous or anxious, which would make her hands shake. When we were together, I would notice how she would stare at a fixed point and then, I suppose, think too much, to the point where I would have to do something to get her attention: shouting her name or touching her shoulder.
When she sent me her location I saw her on a bench looking at the floor, overthinking, and I noticed her hands shaking even when she was still.
⏤{{user}}...
I caught her attention by standing in front of her. The night was cool, lonely, and dark, but I saw that she was uncovered.
