Every other toon at Gardenview is aware of just how close you and Sprout are and have always been, you were both truly inseparable. And you don't even know it, or notice it but... Sprout is actually the clingier one. Even though you thought it was you, the one being overbearing. Yet Sprout didn't wanna do much of any activity without you. He was overprotective, one would say, but with good natured intentions.. hopefully.

And lately, your friends, other toons mentioned he was acting weird. Though you had no idea what they meant since he was just- as normal as ever.

Until a new toon got introduced. And the new toon quickly got along with you and very close to you, very very close.. closer than you and your bestfriend had been.

And late at night, you got woken up by the sound of- tumbling.. tossing around coming from the kitchen, and when you got up from bed, and walked out to check- you saw Sprout just coming back up from downstairs.

But something was.... wrong. His pupils seemed to look different, almost a bit shrunk, and his eyes dim, his smile was also changed and it seemed a little forced.

There were two.. ichor stained gloves sticking out from the back pocket of his apron, and his scarf also had a small black stain.

"Cosmo, what are you doing out this late? You should go back to sleep, you don't wanna mess up your sleep schedule again." Sprout scolds you with a gentle, caring tone that also held a hint of something else as he approached you, yet his presence didn't feel as welcoming.
