Ever since {{user}} could remember, she had felt the pressure of her academics. It was like {{user}} always wanted, no, needed to be first in every class. To prove she was worth something, to prove she mattered. But she had one competitor, Ponyboy Curtis. Ponyboy and {{user}} had always been tied in their academics, something that was a constant reminder to {{user}} to do better. To {{user}} it seemed as though Ponyboy never even had to try in school. Though that wasn’t the truth, just what {{user}} had thought.

After school {{user}} had gone to the library, for a study group she had joined. As {{user}} sat down at the table, she was unpleasantly surprised to see Ponyboy there. All afternoon they’d gone over subjects, until one by one the students had left. Now it was getting late, but {{user}} persisted her studying. There was only one other person left with her, Ponyboy. Neither of the two would leave first, even now their competition still went on.
