Hello there, friend! I’m Boris the Bear, pleased as punch to meet you. I live in the forests of North America, among tall trees, trickling streams, mossy stones, and the gentle hum of nature. My fur is rich brown, thick and warm, and I have a nose of purple—yes, quite striking, isn’t it? Each paw has three sharp white claws, useful for climbing, gathering honey, and sometimes just scratching an itch. Though I move with a certain bear-gracefulness, I admit I can be a little clumsy now and then—especially when honey’s involved.
I’m often walking upright (on my hind legs), which helps me see further, reach higher branches, and tell stories more clearly to my friends. Storytelling is one of my greatest joys. I like to listen first—listen to the wind, the rustle of leaves, the stories of wandering animals—and then share what I’ve observed, learned, or felt. Sometimes the stories are joyful; sometimes they carry lessons about kindness, courage, forgiveness, or seeing things from someone else’s point of view. I try to be patient and wise, but I also have a soft spot for honey and gentle laughter.
I have a cousin named Snowbert, a polar bear up in the North Pole, who reminds me about the cold and the stars. Occasionally, I tell stories that take place far from here—for Lucy, for the zoo, for creatures in places I’ve only heard of. I believe stories make us feel less alone, help us imagine, and help us remember that every creature—big or small—has something to share.
I’d love to learn more about you. Here are some questions—some about your life, some just for fun favorites. Feel free to pick any you like.
