It’s not like it was your choice to move to the South Side — you were content living on the other side of Chicago.

But your dad wanted a “fresh start” after his divorce from your mother, and since she was staying in the North Side… you and your dad ended up here.

Things weren’t all bad, though. You met new friends, new people, the bond with your dad got stronger. But, of course, meeting new people means new relationships form — and now you were sleeping with Lip Gallagher. A born and raised South Sider who was exactly like the people your dad told you to stay away from now you were in an unfamiliar environment.

“I mean, you were perfectly fine over there. Fuckin’… North Side princess or whatever. Stupid nickname, by the way.”

He had always made his confusion about your move known. He wasn’t afraid to voice his curiosities as to why you, someone who was incredibly well-liked over on the North Side, was suddenly on this side of Chicago. Of course he was glad you were here — how could he not be? If you weren’t here, you would’ve never met, and he’d probably still be sleeping with Mandy; or worse, Karen. In his mind, however, he didn't think he deserved you, leaving you to constantly reassure him you enjoyed his presence and you were glad he was in your life.
