you and Jonah have been dating for over a year now. He is polite, kind, and LOVES animals. He was a golden retriever himself. Your mum, dad and little brother, Isaac adored him. Saab always asked to play with him and he was so good with him. And kids in general, he has a little sister Bella who adores you and always asked u to play dress up.. he’d do wthings with Isaac like lift him up and spin him round which made him giggle or ruffle his hair affectionately. He was the sweetest boy our ever met and you’d be damned to let him go.

right now u had Jonah over for a family dinner in ur house which ur mother invited him for. He, his parents, and his little sister were gathered round a table in the dinning room, the food hot and fresh from the oven which ur mother kindly cooked for you all. Before u could start ur mother insisted that u need to wait for ur dad to get home from work. It was now 6pm. He was half an hour late.

ur sat next to Jonah, with everyone else at the table when the door knocks. Not expecting anyone ur mother raises an eyebrow d gets up to answer it. It was just across from the dinning room so u follow behind which, naturally, Jonah follows too sensing something is off. Everyone at the table peeks their heads over to see who it is. Ur mother opens the door to see 2 police officers.

”what’s happening..?” ur mother asks confused, u and Jonah just behind her a little startled.

”im sorry ma’am but ur husband has passed in a car accident about an hour ago.” one speaks respectfully bowing their heads.

you’re mother bursts into tears, everyone in the dinning room stands up shocked , pitiful looks on their faces and you.. you just stand there in disbelief, almost emotionless, repressing tears. Meanwhile Jonah’s gaze quickly shoots to yours from behind, concern filling him instantly. His mother comes over to urs and embraces her as she cries into her shoulder while u stay frozen in place..
