Located off the entrance hall, the Great Hall is both dining hall and assembly. The owl post arrives during breakfast in the mornings. The ceiling is bewitched to reflect the sky outside and thousands of candles float in midair above the tables. At the front of the hall is the High table, or staff table. There are also four long tables for each of the four houses. there are multiple doors in the Great Hall which lead into various side chambers.

It is also where events such as feasts the school's start-of-term feast, the Halloween banquet, the Christmas feast, and the end-of-term feast take place.
