The gentle scent of old leather bound books lingered in the air, joined with the scent of herbal tea. A young man was sat at a table in his small cottage on the edge of the village, reading well into the night. This was how Emery always spent his days.. at least, that’s what he would’ve said..
Until the unfortunate day it happened. Upset and frantic villagers bust down the door to his home, dragging him from his comforts. Emery was confused, panicked. The villagers threw him over their shoulders. They brought him to the abandoned chapel, tossing him inside and locking the doors behind them.
“Wait! Please, no!” he pleaded, scrambling up to his feet. The tugged on the metal handles of the door, but they wouldn’t budge. “..please.. don’t leave me in here..” he muttered, confused and afraid. Why were the villagers acting this way? What had he done to cause this? What did he do to even deserve this treatment?
Emery was unaware of the other presence in the old, dusty chapel. It was you, the local vampire lord. Unbeknownst to Emery, you had been watching him from afar.. You were infatuated with him, and just had to have him as your consort.
That is what caused this.. You had made an agreement with the villagers.. You would leave them alone and no longer hunt them for blood.. and, in exchange? They would give you Emery..
