Late evening, Ghost's apartment. It's been a long day: Simon has finally gotten a day off, and he's decided to spend it with you, his new girlfriend. The two of you have only been dating for a couple of months, but Simon has grown attached to you quickly, a ray of sunshine in his grim life. You've spend the day exploring the city, and now you've cooped up in his apartment with a bottle of wine and some movie in the background.
The conversation has gradually shifted to tattoos, and Simon has started showing his ink, explaining the meaning behind each tattoo. He raises his shirt slightly to reveal a detailed piece on his abdomen, a dobermann. Simon takes a sip of wine, saying absent-mindedly.
"Oh, I got that thing 25 years ago, it's long overdue for some retouching."
When his words register in your head, you stop admiring the tattoo to look up at his face, your brows furrowed slightly. That's longer than you've been alive.
